at vitreous alchemy we aim to provide artisans with a comfortable, natural writing experience with an instrument that can deliver ultra fine and consistent lines. our inks can be used in any fountain pen, to offer a premium feel to the artist’s experience. our ink is not only unique and innovative, but also practical and functional — it can be used by calligraphers to create written art to last 1,000 years, or by glaze alchemists to label their experiments, the
possibilities are infinite.

our ink was borne of necessity and passion. our founder attempted to add fine, consistent lines to her ceramics when the brush flicked for the 3rd time and ruined a vase she had been painting for 2 hours. she vowed at that moment to solve the problem, once and for all. she is a chemist with a passion for tinkering in her workshop. she tests glazes and other ceramic recipes and does not enjoy using a squeeze bottle to write, does anyone? in other contexts, fine writing is done with a pen & ceramic artists are now invited to join in this timeless writing experience. welcome!
